HUMAN - A new and impressive overview publication about the art of Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir will be released by KIND Publishing on September 27th, 2025.

The book contains images of all the major works of Thórarinsdóttir, as well as discussions from both Icelandic and international experts about her artistic career and works from various perspectives, including , arts and architecture writer and historian Judith Dupré, and anthropologist Gísli Pálsson.

Never before has an overview publication about Thórarinsdóttir‘s art been released, but she has received various accolades for her work both in Iceland and abroad over a career that now spans over 45 years. Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir has exhibited worldwide during her celebrated 45-year career, especially in the U.S.

330 pages of works and photos from the artist‘s career. Included is a full CV, bibliography and information about the works which date from 1976 to the present day.
