HUMAN / MAÐUR at Þula marks a milestone. It is Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir’s first solo exhibition in Iceland in almost a decade, coinciding with her 70th birthday and the publication of a new book surveying her life’s work under the same title, by KIND Publishing. HUMAN - A new and impressive overview publication about the art of Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir will be released by KIND Publishing on September 27th, 2025.
The book contains images of all the major works of Thórarinsdóttir, as well as discussions from both Icelandic and international experts about her artistic career and works from various perspectives, including , arts and architecture writer and historian Judith Dupré, and anthropologist Gísli Pálsson.
