    On 29th of May the exhibition PLACES was opened by Frank Jensen the Mayor of Copenhagen in Churchill Park in Copenhagen. The exhibition is a collaboration between the artist, the City of Copenhagen, the North Atlantic House, Copenhagen Airport and Galleri Christoffer Egelund.     Global Fine Art Awards Nomination -

    Steinunn´s show BORDERS in Chicago has been nominated for the Global Fine Art Award in the category of Public or Outdoor installation. Steinunn´s show is 1 of 6 international public art shows nominated. Other nominated shows are f.e. Echo by Jaume Plensa and The Last Days of Folly by Rachel Feinstein. There are 5 categories of the GFAA with a total of 25 shows nominated. The GFAA program honors innovation in design, historical context, educational value, and public appeal.

    Steinunn´s sculpture Counterparts installed at San Diego Airport

    The sculpture Counterparts was installed outside San Diego AIrport´s Commuter´s Terminal. Counterparts is made of aluminum, the material of airplanes, and shows a meeting of two people. Scott White Contemporary, Steinunn´s gallery in California, oversaw the installation of the piece. #News

    Solo show in Two Ravens Gallery in

    Steinunn has not exhibited in a museum or gallery in Iceland since 2006. The show includes new large and small works inside the gallery made of aluminum, glass and cast iron. A large glass installation covers one wall of the exhibition space. Also included is an outdoor piece on the square in front of the gallery, corner of Baldursgata and Nönnugata. #News

    CHICAGO–“Borders,” a public sculpture installation by Steinunn, will be installed on August 8 at Solti Garden on the northwest corner of Jackson and South Michigan Avenue.
